FAQ

Simple answers, especially if this is your first website.

New to websites? Start here

I’ve never had a website. Is this for me?

Yes. Most of our clients come to us for their first ever website. You don’t need to understand domains, hosting or “SEO”. You run your business — we handle the technical side and guide you step by step.

What do you need from me to start?

To begin, we usually need:

  • Basic info about your business (what you do, where you are, how to contact you)
  • Your services or products in simple bullet points
  • Any photos or logo you already have (if not, we’ll help)
  • Your preferred phone number, email and social links

If you’re not sure what to write, we’ll ask you a few questions and prepare the wording for you.

£199 Startup One-Page offer

What exactly is the £199 Startup One-Page offer?

It’s a simple, clear one-page website designed for new and small UK businesses who need a proper online presence “to get started”, without a big agency fee.

On this one page we typically include:

  • Short intro about your business
  • List of services or what you offer
  • Trust elements (short story, experience, or highlights)
  • Contact details and a simple contact form
  • Links to your social media or booking platform (if you have one)

The page is built to be mobile-friendly, SSL secure and ready to be found on Google for your brand name.

Full details are on the offer page: Startup One-Page £199.

What is included in the £199 price?

The £199 (VAT included) covers:

  • Design and build of your one-page website
  • Basic copy editing and layout of your text
  • Image optimisation (so the site loads fast)
  • Basic on-page SEO setup (titles, meta description, headings)
  • Contact form connected to your email
  • Technical setup on your hosting (or help choosing a host)
  • Standard domain, hosting and SSL certificate included for the first year (for non-premium domain names, e.g. typical .co.uk / .com).

There are no hidden “design” fees on top of this. You only pay extra if you choose a premium domain name, or later for renewals after the first year (directly with the provider).

What is not included in the £199 offer?

To keep the price simple and low, the £199 offer does not include:

  • Complex booking systems or online payments
  • Full e-commerce (online shop with many products)
  • Multiple language versions
  • Ongoing monthly maintenance or marketing

If you need those later, we can grow your website step by step, or quote a separate package.

How long does the £199 website take?

Once we have the basics from you (business info, services, contact details):

  • Initial layout: usually within 3–5 business days
  • Minor changes from your feedback: another 1–3 business days

In many cases, you can go from “no website” to live one-page website within 1–2 weeks.

Process — how we work together

How does the process work, step by step?
  1. Short call or form — we ask simple questions about your business.
  2. Structure & content — we propose sections and help with wording.
  3. Design & build — we create the layout and add your content.
  4. Your review — you check the page and send us corrections.
  5. Go-live — we connect your domain and launch the site.

You’ll always see where we are in the process and what we need from you next.

Can I request changes during the project?

Yes. For the £199 Startup One-Page we include 2 rounds of reasonable changes (text tweaks, moving sections, changing images).

If you later decide to add completely new sections or extra functionality, we’ll simply quote this as an add-on so you always know the cost in advance.

Domain, hosting & technical side

Can you help with domain and hosting?

Yes. If you don’t have anything yet, we will:

  • Help you choose and register a domain (e.g. yourbusiness.co.uk)
  • Recommend a simple, reliable hosting option
  • Set up SSL (the little padlock and “https://”)

The domain and hosting are billed to you directly by the provider, so you stay the owner and in full control.

Will I get a professional email address?

We can help you set up a business email such as info@yourbusiness.co.uk using services like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and connect it to your contact form.

Can I update the website myself later?

For many small businesses, we recommend a simple setup where we make updates for you (quick text changes, opening hours, etc.). This keeps the site faster and more secure.

If you want to edit content yourself regularly, we can suggest a simple content management system (CMS) and include basic training.

SEO & being found on Google

Will my website appear on Google?

Yes. We set up:

  • Page titles and meta descriptions
  • Headings and internal links in a logical way
  • Technical files like robots.txt and sitemap.xml

Over time, your site can rank for your brand name and local searches. For more competitive keywords or ongoing SEO campaigns, we can discuss a separate plan.

After launch & support

Who owns the website after it’s finished?

You do. Once the project is paid, you own the final website we created for you. Your domain and hosting are also registered in your name or your company name.

What if something stops working after launch?

For every new website we offer a 30-day bugfix warranty for issues related to what we delivered (on agreed devices and browsers).

After 30 days, you can contact us for ad-hoc help or choose a simple maintenance plan if you prefer ongoing support.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance or updates?

Yes. We can:

  • Make occasional updates when you need them (ad-hoc)
  • Or set up a small monthly plan for updates, backups and monitoring

We’ll recommend the simplest option that fits how often your business changes.

How much does a website cost beyond the £199 offer?

The £199 Startup One-Page is the easiest entry point. If you need more pages or extra features (for example, booking, multi-language, online shop), we’ll prepare a clear, itemised quote before we start.

You can see typical starting points on our Pricing page, and we’re happy to discuss what makes sense for your current stage.

How do payments work?

For the £199 Startup One-Page we usually take full payment upfront to keep the admin simple and move fast.

For larger projects we typically work with:

  • Deposit to reserve the project and start work
  • Remaining balance on delivery or launch

All terms are clearly written in the proposal, so there are no surprises.

What if I’m not happy with the design?

Our process includes review and feedback stages, so we can adjust the design before launch. If something doesn’t feel right, you tell us what and why, and we’ll propose clear options to fix it within the agreed scope.
